The sustainable solution instead of plastic packaging

Probably all of us are familiar with the gesture when we unpack and then throw away a plastic package. It takes a few moments however it has a huge impact on our Earth. We are surprised when watching on TV the large garbage islands floating in the oceans and the animals drowning there. The size of the largest garbage island is the same as the area of France and Spain altogether. These islands are the result of such small countless gestures when we throw away plastics. We need to pay even more attention to this problem! Therefore, it is high time to use alternative solutions in packaging that pollute less our environment. We must not forget:

“We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”

David Brower

Why is the use of plastic boxes so harmful?

Most of the plastic packages are used only once and when we unpack the products, we quickly throw these packages away. As fast as one plastic package gets into the garbage, as slow and cumbersome while it is degraded. Of course, we try to recycle plastic waste, however, what we managed to do is only 9% of the total. Another 10% is burnt up (thereby polluting the air) and the rest 81% is ended up in the landfills and in our environment, in our lakes, seas, and oceans. Plastic needs almost 400 years to be degraded. Just imagine, if the plastic had been invented a few hundred years ago, Napoleon would have used plastic cup for having his favorite Burgundy before a battle. If that were the case, we would see this cup in a museum.

What can we do for using less plastic material for packaging?

The use of alternative packaging materials, cardboard boxes, and trays for packaging almost any food (fruit and vegetables, takeaway, salad, street food, etc.) offers the perfect solution and a great alternative instead of plastic boxes.

Step by step, by each paper package, we do a little for our environment, for our world, for our future.

The advantages of paper trays against plastic packaging:

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

  • the raw materials are from environmentally conscious, sustainable sources

RECYCLABLE MATERIAL

  • paper trays – if disposed in a selective trash bin– are recyclable

WIDE VARIETY OF FORMS

  • trays are developed to perform their function, regardless of whether vegetable, fruit or ready-made food to be packed

FULL PROTECTION FOR THE PRODUCT

  • the raw material thickness and the folded sides give the trays sufficient rigidity and support

UNIQUE APPEARANCE

  • trays and boxes can be personalized with unique graphics

What kind of products do we offer paper trays for?

Our paper trays are suitable for packaging almost all vegetables and fruits. We also recommend these constructions for packaging takeaway, hot and cold foods (these can be soups, sauces as well). There are trays in which a separate section has been created for the dressings. For some trays the sides are folded back for a better hold. If needed, small slots on the tray ensure better ventilation of the product.
