Inline die cutting is getting more and more prominence among our newest technologies. The main reason for this is that it is extraordinarily efficient and it is suitable for creating unique and special surfaces which cannot be achieved with conventional die cutting.
This process offers the possibility to use a flexible tool inserted into the offset printing machine to score, perforate, emboss or even die-cut smaller surfaces inline with the printing process, significantly reducing the production time.
This special flexible tool can be equally applied within the printing unit or the coating unit, inserted in the place of the rubber blanket using supporting metallic plates and protective foils which ensure appropriate pressure and the protection of the cylinder.
For example, when applied to a sticker album, the print is perfectly fitting, the lines of shape scoring perfectly fit the graphic elements and the scoring is perfectly even.
Inline structure embossing is an outstandingly spectacular technology. It can be applied to the entire sheet (up to B1 size) or as pattern on the product, creating unique surfaces on the print.
